Tempesst have never sought to stand still. The Australian group travelled half-way round the world in pursuit of their dreams, relocating to the UK and basing themselves in London’s labyrinthine audio complex Pony Studios.

Debut album ‘Must Be A Dream’ was an enchanting selection of psych-pop hymns, beatific songwriting that spoke of youthful innocence and hazy summer dreams.

Taking time out to find new focus, Tempesst have developed fresh ideas, and pieced together a different method of songwriting. New album ‘Prisoner Of Desire’ is out on March 3rd, and it deals with matters of the heart.

“Above all else, we want this album to start an honest conversation about what love is: one that
throws away pedestals and unreal expectations,” says Toma. “One that shows how demanding,
complex, challenging, beautiful and incredible love can be. And why, ultimately, we’re all prisoners
of desire.”

New single ‘Rags Of Love’ is a glorious return, an uplifting feast of positive energy. Those dappled psych-pop textures remain, but Tempesst inject something fresh into their format, illuminating the lyrics with something emotive and engaging.

We’ve grabbed first play of the new video – tune in now.

Tempesst have also confirmed their first headline show in almost two years – catch them at London’s Islington Assembly Hall on 23rd March 2023.
